ISA HomeSurvey
The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors have changed the format and content of the HomeBuyer report in 2010. Wilkey & Co. will not be carrying out this type of inspection and report in the future.
The Independent Surveyors Association have developed an alternative form of intermediate report which we consider will be more appropriate than the revised RICS format. It is known as a HomeSurvey and will provide a detailed summary of condition. It will be possible to incorporate an opinion of value and an indication of re-instatement cost for insurance purposes as optional extras.
This report format has been available from 26 March 2010. You can download a copy of the Terms and Conditions and view a typical report which will give you a good idea of the information that will be provided. This is a new venture that has been organised by ISA who represent 450 firms of independent chartered surveyors in England and Wales. Roger A. Wilkey FRICS was Chair of the working party who devised the report format and he would welcome comments or suggestions for improvement.
